knit/lab/jasper lace
Jasper Lace is a dynamic lace shawl inspired by natural forms and patterns - the fascinating folds, hypnotic repetitions, mesmerizing undulations and erratic distortions found in rocks, clouds, waves and flowers.
The sample shawl was knit on 4.5mm/US7 needles with approximately 700m/770yds of West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4 Ply Cocktail Collection 856 Tequila Sunrise. The pattern can be knit in more than one colorway for a more colorful look.
Finished dimensions: approximately 60in/152cm long by 20in/50cm wide. The short edges differ due to the asymmetric lace pattern.
The lace pattern features stacked centered quadruple decreases paired with traditional yarn over increases.
The pattern is fully written out, with no chart.
The pdf also contains a variation (see below) featuring the same
pattern rows as the main version worked in a different sequence.
English and French versions of the pdf are available.
Jasper Lace is also available as part of the knit/lab Stacked Stitches volume 1 eBook.
