knit/lab/Four Seasons Crescent
A bohemian crescent with a playful beaded fringe.
The pattern uses stitches with double wraps. The extra wraps are dropped when working the stitch on the following row, resulting in larger, elongated stitches. The lace effect is created by the contrast between areas of elongated stitches and areas of stocking stitch. After blocking the shawl, tassels are added to the stitches of the BO edge, and the individual strands of the tassels are further decorated with a variety of beads - I've accumulated a large stash of beads over the years!
Knit on 2.75/3/3.25/5mm US2/2.5/3/8 needles with approximately 200g/840m/920yds of Schoppelwolle Crazy Zauberball yarn in the following colorways, which were developed in a collaboration with Schoppel Wolle:
Early Autumn, Late Autumn, Cool Botanical Garden, Dark Roses.
All five colorways can be viewed here.

It's a mainly charted pattern with notes and instructions for the double wrapped stitches, adding the tassels and beading, and a splicing phototutorial.
